This policy explains how The Ingredient Report LLC ("we") handles personal information on theingredientreport.com. Short version: this is a static publication — we have no accounts, no logins, and we collect personal data only when you deliberately send it to us.
What we collect and why
- Contact and report forms. When you submit a form (contact, reader report), we receive the information you type — typically your name, email address and message. Forms are delivered to our inbox by FormSubmit, a form-forwarding service that processes your submission to route it to us. We use submissions to respond to you, moderate and publish reader reports (name as given; your email is never published), and maintain the moderation records our editorial policy requires.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe to The Label Brief, we collect your email address to send the newsletter. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing works immediately.
- Analytics. We may use privacy-conscious analytics (such as Google Analytics) to understand aggregate readership — pages visited, approximate region, device type. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you to us. See the cookie policy.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical data (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and operations, retained per the host’s standard practices.
What we never do
We do not sell personal information. We do not buy data about you. We do not run third-party data brokers’ scripts. We do not require an account to read anything.
Third parties we rely on
Form delivery (FormSubmit), email newsletter delivery (our email service provider), web hosting (Namecheap), fonts (Google Fonts, served from Google’s servers) and, if enabled, analytics (Google). Each processes only what is necessary for its function under its own privacy terms.
Your rights
Wherever you live, we honor the basics: ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — including published reader reports you submitted. Email hello@theingredientreport.com with the subject "Privacy request" and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We’ll update this page when our practices change and adjust the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be noted in the page’s update history.
This policy is provided for transparency and does not constitute legal advice to any reader. Questions: hello@theingredientreport.com.
